Visions of Democracy
What is democracy? How does democracy function? What forms does it take? How do people enact democracy? Who has access to public resources? Are public resources distributed equally or equitably? How does poverty impact the health of democracy? These are the questions we will consider as we listen to stories from American history.

Season One
In Season One, we heard from members of various social justice movements to uncover the different ways in which citizens attempt to participate in their own governance.
Season Two
The Peculiar Histories of American Welfare
Season Two examines economic aspects of democracy. Every time elected officials pass a budget, they decide who deserves public resources and who does not.
